Stewart Baseley, Senior Advisor

Mr. Baseley joined Highlander Partners Central Europe in September 2008 to help evaluate investment opportunities and provide strategic help to portfolio companies.

Mr. Baseley has spent over 25 years working within the house building industry operating at CEO levels since 1990 with a wide range of achievements including the successful restructuring and turn around of Charles Church and overseeing its sale to Beazer Homes in 1996.

Mr. Baseley led Centex’s acquisition of Fairclough in the UK in 1999, and after completing the company’s successful turnaround it was sold to Miller Group in 2005.

From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Baseley served as a Board Member of UEPC (the European home builders trade group). He currently serves as Chairman of the Home Builders Federation which represents the majority of the significant homebuilders in the UK, where he successfully refocused it as an influential lobby group recognized favorably by the government.

Mr. Baseley is also a director of the National House-Building Council (NHBC), Banner Homes, Habitat for Humanity UK and a Patron of Children with Special Needs.
