Mr. Beckert joined Highlander Partners in 2010 as a Special Advisor to assist with the evaluation of private equity investments and advise Highlander portfolio companies’ management teams on strategic initiatives and became an Operating Partner of the firm in 2012.  Most recently, Mr. Beckert served as Chief Executive Officer, President, and Director of ClubCorp, a leader in the private clubs industry with approximately $1.5 billion in assets. ClubCorp owns and operates nearly 170 golf courses, country clubs, private businesses, sports clubs, and resorts.  While at ClubCorp, Mr. Beckert led a turnaround effort that resulted in a substantial improvement of the company’s performance and ClubCorp’s subsequent sale to KSL Capital Partners in 2006.  Prior to ClubCorp, Mr. Beckert was President and Chief Operating Officer of Bristol Hotels & Resorts before its sale to Bass PLC in April 2000.  Bristol operated 110 hotels with nearly 30,000 rooms, including 90 Intercontinental Hotels Group-branded hotels.
