Robert A. Sussman, Partner

Mr. Sussman joined Highlander in November 2008. He brings twenty years of experience successfully advising and investing in middle market companies. From 1998 to 2008, he served as Managing Director of Hunt Private Equity Group, the middle market private equity investment arm of the Ray L. Hunt family, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and managing a portfolio of private equity investments in middle market companies across a wide variety of industries.

Prior to Hunt, Mr. Sussman served as Vice President of Hoak Capital, a Dallas-based middle market private equity firm focused on the media and telecommunications industries, from 1995-1998. Prior to entering the private equity industry, Bobby served as a management consultant with Bain & Company and an Associate in the Reorganization Group of Credit Suisse First Boston.

Mr. Sussman currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Eagle Hospital Physicians, a provider of hospitalist management and related services, and Lund International Holding Company, a manufacturer of automotive aftermarket accessories.

He earned a B.A. in Government from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
